一、本节课教材内容分析

本单元围绕“结交新朋友” 这一主题,使学生学会打招呼和介绍自己、询问他人姓名的基本句型。本课时是第一单元的第一课时,重点学习打招呼、自我介绍、询问对方和第三方姓名, 掌握与初次见面的朋友打招呼、询问基本信息等交际功能。

二、教学目标设计

知识与技能

1. 能听懂并运用name nice meet his andher your等词汇来完成会话练习。

2.能听懂并运用句型:①—Hi. My name’s Gina. —I’m Jenny. Nice to meet you!

② —What’s your/his/her name? —My/his her name is… ③ —Are you…? —Yes, I am. / No, I´m not.④ —Is he/she…? —Yes, she/he is. / No, she/he isn’t.

3. 能了解以下语法:your, his, her等形容词性物主代词的简单用法;

What’s=what is I’m=I am name’s=name is等缩写形式。

过程与方法

1.在学习中善于利用图画等非语言信息理解主题。2.善于抓住用英语交际的机会。

3.学会听前预知、听中抓关键信息、听后归纳总结的学习策略。

情感态度

通过活动的开展,学生能在教师指导下学会:

1.正确流利地用英语向他人介绍自己,并乐于与同伴交往。

2.使学生对英语产生强烈的兴趣和愿望,乐于参加各种语言实践活动。

教学重点、难点:

1. 教学重点: 1) 让学生学会自我介绍,学会交朋友。2) 正确使用问候语。

2. 教学难点: your, his, her等形容词性物主代词的简单用法。

三、教学设计

Step 1. Warming-up & Lead-in

1. Play the tape, enjoy the ABC song or Hello song, get the Ss to sing together.

2. Warm greetings to the students T: Good morning! S: Good morning!

Step 2. Presentation : Present the following structures:

1. T: Good morning, boys and girls. My name is Lily. What’s your name? S1: My name is Tom. T: And what’s your name? S2: My name is Mary.

2. T: Hi! I’m Lily. / My name’s Lily. S: Hi! Lily. I’m Alan.

T: Nice to meet you! S: Nice to meet you!

3. T: (Ask a boy stand up) What’s his name? Ss: His name is … (Repeat with another boy.)

T: (Ask a girl stand up) What’s her name? Ss: Her name is … (Repeat with another girl.)

4. T: (Show a photo of Liu Dehua)Is he Liu Xiang? Help Ss answer: No, he isn´t. He´s Liu Dehua. Then (Show a photo of Liu Xiang) Is he Liu Xiang? Help Ss answer: Yes, he is.

(Point to some students in the class.) Is he/she…? Let some Ss answer the questions.

5. Write the expressions on the blackboard. what’s=what is I’m=I am name’s=name is

Step 3. Ear training

1. T: Now let’s listen to the tape, find out the right conversation, and number them: Work on 1b.

2. Work on 2a;

T: Now, look at the pictures on P2, listen to the four conversations and number the pictures. Then check the answers.

3. Work on 2b;

Play the recording. Students listen and circle the names they hear. Then check the answers.

Step 4. Pair work

1. Ask the Ss to practice the conversations in 1b with a partner. Then use their own names to practice instead.

2. Suppose you are new students in No. 1 Middle School. You are from different countries. You meet for the first time. Make up a dialogue in pairs. Make a model dialogue with a student. Other students should listen carefully.

T: Hello! What’s your name? S1: My name’s… T: I’m…S1: Nice to meet you! T: What’s his name? S1: His name is…T: And what’s her name? S1: Her name is…

Let all the students work in pairs. Practice the dialogue. Then ask some pairs to act out their dialogues.

Step 5. Role-playing the conversation.

1. Ask Ss to look at the picture in 2d. Then Ss read the dialogue by themselves and try to find out what their names are.

2. Lead students to read the conversation loudly.

3. Divide the Ss into groups of four. Let them practice the dialogue in their group.

4. Then ask some groups to act out their dialogues in front of the class.

Step 6. Homework: 1. Recite the conversations in this lesson. 2. Finish the exercise book.

四、本节教学设计的注意事项或疑点

1.向学生介绍中国人与英美人在打招呼上的文化差异,指出英美人士见面一般用Good morning/afternoon/evening. How are you? Nice to meet you.等来打招呼,而且寒暄的内容也常常是关于天气的话题。

2.建议老师在上本节课之前先帮助班上每一位学生取好英文名字。

3.听力教学应为学生搭建支架,尤其要增加听前活动,通过各种方式让学生热身,熟悉话题内容,激活背景知识,明确任务要求,扫除语言障碍。
